Brightening a dull complexion involves taking good care of your skin and creating healthy habits. Here are a few of my top tips -
Cleanse, exfoliate & moisturise
Cleansing & exfoliation removes dirt, oil & dead skin cells, unclogging your pores and allowing your skin to breathe. Exfoliation also stimulates blood flow - revealing fresh, radiant skin.
Use SPF
UV damage can cause dark spots and uneven skin tone, so whatever the weather, make sure to apply a cream with at least SPF 30 every morning.
Eat a balanced diet
Antioxidants, e.g. Vitamin C & E, have multiple skin benefits such as calming inflammation and protection against UV damage. Eating foods or taking supplements containing high levels of antioxidants can help improve dullness over time.
Stay hydrated & get rest
Hydration is essential for healthy-looking skin, make sure to drink enough water each day & get enough enough sleep. Lack of sleep can lead to dark circles, and tired looking skin. Allow your skin time to repair and regenerate.
Fake it till you make it
None of the above tips are a quick fix, and there will always be days we don’t look or feel our best.
