RUBY REVEALS: TIPS TO REFRESH YOUR ROUTINE
A Fresh Start for Your Makeup Routine in January!
Cleanse and Declutter
Toss out expired products and say goodbye to anything you no longer use. This not only creates space for new additions, but also ensures that you're using fresh products on your skin. The PAO (period-after-opening) symbol - depicting an open cosmetics pot - let's you know the number of months/years you should keep a product for after opening. Use this as a guide, but if your products starts to smell get rid of it straight away! This is particularly important for liquids and creams. It's also important to keep your makeup brushes & tools clean. I like to clean mine using warm water and a mild soap at the end of each week.
Base Matters
A flawless makeup look starts with a healthy base. Find a nourishing skincare routine that works for you. Hydrate, moisturise, and treat yourself to an occasional facial mask when in need of an extra boost!
Set Your Goals
Just like any other New Years resolution, set achievable goals for your makeup routine. Whether it's mastering the art of winged eyeliner or perfecting a bold lip, work at refining the skills that best compliment you.
Effortless Elegance
January can be a busy month, so a quick and easy makeup routine can be a life-saver. Find a look that enhances your features without taking up too much time. A touch of mascara, and a pop of color on the lips can work wonders for a polished look in minutes.
Simplicity is key
Opt for products that serve multiple purposes, saving you time and effort. Cheek stains that double as lip colour, or eyeshadows that can be used as highlighters. Saving both space & time!
