Spark joy with Colour

Spark joy with Colour

Colour can be daunting, especially when you usually stick to natural shades. It isn't about applying all the shades to your face in one go but using colour to achieve a balance between your eyes, lips and cheeks... If you find the most incredible lip colour let it take the focus... likewise a bright eyeshadow - Let it stand out.

Be unapologetic when using colour, apply clearly and strongly... no matter the colour, if you wear it with confidence you will be able to carry it off.

Colour can be used to enhance your features, making them stand out whilst you downplay other areas. A bright lip will draw people's focus away from your eyes, a hot pop of pink on the cheeks will detract from your lips and a bright eye will draw attention to the top half of your face.

If it is your first foray, opt for a wash of colour as you build up confidence.

EYES

  • Play with eyeliner, adding a small amount to frame your eyes or line the full lid
  • Eyeshadow is incredibly versatile, add a bright pop of colour all over the lid or just a dot on the inner corner fora modern take

LIPS

  • A bright lipstick can completely change your whole look, whereas a pop of lipgloss gives a more subtle playfulness to your look. Keep the rest of your makeup neutral and make sure to carry your colour with you, to top up on the go.

If you are still unsure play with nail colour to start - the easiest way to add daring colour.
